Our Process
We always begin our relationships by meeting face to face, as we believe it is important for you to feel comfortable with the person representing you in your job search. We work on your timeline. Our first and foremost objective is to build a long term relationship with you and be a trusted advisor throughout your career. We are motivated to help you in any way that we can to make educated decisions regarding your career, but that help can come in a variety of ways. When you are ready to explore external opportunities we will conduct a thorough search and introduce you to some of the Bay Area’s leading companies. We can also advise you when you are directly engaged with a company and help you evaluate opportunities that are presented to you within your current company. Sometimes the best opportunity for you is an internal move.
During our in person interview, we review your background, experience, and discuss future career goals in detail. We listen and take the time to understand what types of opportunities you feel will be a good fit for you. We will also share our expertise and insights in order to help you evaluate your opportunities and ultimately accomplish your long term goals.
This initial in depth meeting ensures that when we begin bringing opportunities to you – they will match your criteria and qualifications. Rest assured, we do not represent you to any companies until we’ve been given your explicit approval to do so. This ensures that you always know where your resume is in the marketplace, are not represented without your knowledge, and thus are not mistakenly represented to a company by more than one source.
Another important distinction is that at BVOH we do not represent opportunities to you until we have been explicitly engaged by the hiring Company. We are in the business of making valuable and worthwhile introductions where we have true relationships on both sides. We do not cut corners during ANY step of the process and treat every relationship with respect.
